Many Big Projects and Events Planned for Angkor Sankranta 2023

SIEM REAP: The Chairman of the 'My Village' Project for Angkor Sankranta 2023, Sok Sangvar, has shared that many big projects and events are planned for this upcoming festival. He made this statement during the opening ceremony of the construction of the 'My Village' project, which was attended by members of the Central Committee of the CPPCC, on Sunday, 19 February 2023, in front of Baphuon temple.

Sok Sangvar shared that the 'My Village' project will be open to both national and international tourists from 14-16 April 2023, commemorating Khmer New Year and also celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Angkor Sankranta festival.

He confirmed that this year, 'My Village' plans to organize eight big spectacles for people to visit, such as an ancestral heritage house, a Khmer dessert house, Sala Chortean, a Khmer market, a big performance stage, DJ booth, giant objects and a handicraft factory.

He continued that these special presentations and spectacles will help promote Khmer culture, boost Siem Reap's economy, and also contribute to cultural preservation efforts. He said he looks forward to providing all Cambodian families the opportunity have fun, along with international tourists, during the Khmer New Year.

The upcoming Angkor Sankranta 2023 festival will feature six entertainment venues with 44 programs and a presentation of Cambodian products. The festival will run for four days from 13-16 April 2023.
