Hun Manet Expresses Condolences to Bereaved Families Affected by Earthquake in Turkey-Syria

PHNOM PENH: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, has expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of those affected by the major earthquake and continuing aftershocks in Turkey and Syria.

Through a post made on the Hun Manet - C.O.Army Office Facebook page, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet prayed for the ongoing rescue missions to be successful.

He expressed his condolences to the people of Turkey and Syria for the catastrophic earthquake that has killed, injured and left many missing, as well as caused the destruction of infrastructure and private property.

So far, nearly 8,400 people in Turkey and Syria have died, while hundreds of thousands more are trapped in collapsed buildings. The World Health Organization estimates the death toll could rise to 20,000.
