PHNOM PENH: Only 108 former NagaWorld employees continue to refuse compensation, while an additional three decided to accept a settlement through the mediation of the Ministry of Labor on Saturday, 4 February 2023.
According to a press release issued Saturday, the Ministry of Labor stated, "As of today, a total of 265 out of 373 former employees have agreed to accept compensation for the termination of their employment by the company, reducing the number of former employees who refuse to accept compensation to 108."
The Ministry of Labor also stated that Ministry officers had confirmed the termination of the employment contracts with the company's representative and found that the payments were correct and compliant with the laws and regulations regarding dismissal from work.
The National Employment Agency (NEA) of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training will be ready to facilitate and help former employees in their search for new jobs.
