PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has requested the Governor of Phnom Penh, Khuong Sreng, to examine the possibility of using part of the land of the Morodok Techo National Stadium for the construction of more student dormitories to facilitate poor students and especially female students and foreign students who come to study in Cambodia.

Speaking during the meeting to award 1,049 A-level students from the 2021-2022 academic year, on Thursday morning, 2 February 2023, the Prime Minister said, "I propose to [look into this more], Governor Khuong Sreng, because I want to build another student dormitory, although the location is a bit far."

He noted that the project to build a student dormitory that can hold between 200 to 300 beds will provide more convenience to female students and poor students, as finding appropriate accommodation can be harder for female students since male students can request to stay stay in pagodas.
