Two People Sent to Hospital After Train Hit Ambulance in Sihanoukville

SIHANOUKVILLE: A traffic accident occurred in Sihanoukville at around 1 pm on Tuesday, 31 January 2023, where a passenger train hit an ambulance while it was crossing the railway around Rumduol Cheung Phnom (Tumnup Rolok) in Sangkat 1.

According to local sources, two people were injured in the accident and immediately rushed to the emergency room. In addition, the crash also caused some homes located near the railway to sustain some damage.

Authorities report that prior to the train’s arrival, the railway gate was not lowered hence the ambulance attempted to cross the tracks. The train was not careful and hit the ambulance and the surrounding houses in the area.
