Phnom Penh: The Royal Government has issued specific guidelines on the management and use of the Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Tests. The test kits, which have been distributed among ministries and different provinces, are aimed at controlling the further spread of Covid-19.
Prime Minister Hun Sen says that the Rapid Antigen Tests will be used to alleviate the threat of further infections within the community, as well as to stop the Delta variants from spreading. “This will give a prompt and timely contribution to the fight against this deadly disease, aimed at controlling the spread in the community and leading to the gradual launch of socio-economic activities along the new normal path.”
The guidelines provide some basic principles for implementation in general institutions, both public and private, and a guide for identifying future measures that could provide a timely response.
The Prime Minister says, “As the head of the Royal Government, I would like to express my appreciation to the working group of the Sub-Committee on Planning and Strategy Assessment, which is subordinate to the Inter-Ministerial Commission for Combating Covid-19, under its supervision and coordination.”
Prime Minister Hun Sen also thanked Finance Minister, Mr. Aun Porn Moniroth, who is also Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Commission for the Prevention of Covid-19, for developing the general guidelines.
He recommended to all ministries and institutions to adhere to the guidelines set by the government in using the Rapid Antigen Test.
The guidelines have thus far been issued only in Khmer and can be found at:
