Student Sends Thank You Letter to Dr. Or Vandine, Her 'Idol'

PHNOM PENH: Secretary of State and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Or Vandine, received a letter from a female student saying that she was happy to meet her in person and thank Dr. Or Vandine for her dedication to the nation.

A letter written by Sok SeangGech, a 12th grade student at Chi Phu High School, stated that she has been a fan of Dr. Or Vandine since 2020 and was very happy to meet her for the first time.

"Today, I am very excited and happy to meet Lok Chomteav for the first time, because you are my idol, I got to know you on TV and became your fan, this may sound ridiculous, but you are setting a good example in society, working hard to be a good doctor," the student wrote. "I have been a fan of Lok Chumteav since 2020, I promise to work hard to learn and be a good role model in society like Lok Chumteav. I wish you good health and long life."

This student was able to meet Dr. Or Vandine during her inspection of the Covid-19 vaccination process in Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province, on Friday, 20 January 2023.
