PM Thanks Maldivian President for Providing Scholarships to Cambodian Students

MALÉ: Prime Minister Hun Sen has thanked the Maldivian President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, for providing scholarships to Cambodian students.

The scholarships for Cambodian students include swim-training for athletes, and hospitality-training for 20 Cambodian officials, in order to help boost tourism in the Kingdom.

Speaking at a joint press conference from the Maldives Presidential Palace on Monday, 16 January 2023, the Prime Minister said that Cambodia has also provided scholarships to 10 Maldivian students for higher education in Cambodia.

By mutually providing scholarships to students from both countries, the Prime Minister said that this is a new starting point in cooperation for Cambodia and Maldives, both at the political level and at the level of human resource training.

In addition to cooperating in the field of education, the Prime Minister also encouraged the two countries to cooperate in the fields of culture and tourism.
