PM Pay a State Visit to Maldives

Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen left for the Maldives this morning, January 15, 2023 to strengthen ties with the country.

The Cambodian special aircraft left Phnom Penh International Airport at 8 am.

Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high delegation to pay an Official Visit to the Republic of Maldives from 15-17 January 2023.

Prime Minister will be accompanied by Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Othsman Hassan, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Mission, Mr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, Prof. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, as well as other senior government officials and business leaders from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.

Prime Minister will hold official talks with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, during which various aspects of bilateral, regional and international cooperation will be discussed. After the meeting, the two Leaders will preside over the signing ceremony of a number of documents on bilateral cooperation.

During the visit, PM Prime Minister will receive separate courtesy calls by the Vice President, the Speaker of the People's Majlis, the Chief Justice and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives.

The upcoming visit of Prime Minister to Maldives will present an opportunity for both sides to review the entire range of bilateral cooperation, including exploring new avenues to further strengthen cooperation on trade, investment, connectivity, health, culture, agriculture and human resources development that are mutually beneficial to the two countries and peoples.
