Crowds of Journalists Come to Take Covid-19 Tests Ahead of Press Dinner with PM

PHNOM PENH: National and international journalists from all media institutions in Cambodia gathered at the Ministry of Information to take their Covid-19 rapid antigen tests on Friday morning, 13 January 2023, ahead of the big press dinner with Prime Minister Hun Sen, scheduled for Saturday, 14 January.

Officials from ministries, institutions, and spokespersons of Capital and Provincial Administration also must separately conduct self-tests and present their results to the sub-committee on security and Covid-19 on arrival at the program site.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Information, all journalists must wear identification cards at all times during the program and their attendance will be annulled if there is any change in permissions from the program management. All journalists must arrive at the venue at 2 pm to scan their Covid-19 rapid test results and also undergo a temperature screening.

The Ministry of Information has also banned journalists from bringing selfie sticks and backpacks into the venue.
