BREAKING NEWS: PM Ends Lawsuit Against Kong Koam After Returning House and Land to State

Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen has decided to end the lawsuit against Kong Koam after he and his wife decided to return the land and house in Chamkarmon to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

PM Hun Sen posted on his Facebook page with a letter from Kong Koam to the head of the Anti-Corruption Unit, Om Yentieng, that he had decided to return the land and house in Chamkarmon to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Finally, the land and the house, which are state property, were returned to the state by Kong Koam and his wife after the Anti-Corruption Unit worked with Kong Koam and his family for three and a half hours," he wrote. "Do not let the night dream too much, I decided not to sue again, just to hand over this house to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which can be done next week."

This week, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen intentionally demanded that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reclaim the land and houses that Kong Koam forged, claiming that Kong Koam had falsified documents in order to take over the state land. PM said that it is time to take back the land and houses of the state that was swindle, while this morning, asked the Anti-Corruption Unit to open an investigation into this fraud case.
