Fire Used to Smoke Out Bees Nest Ends Up Burning Entire Sugarcane Field

SIEM REAP: A fire broke out on a six-hectare sugarcane field after someone tried to use the fire to smoke out a bees nest near the field.

This incident occurred on Sunday, 8 January 2023, around 4:40 pm at a sugarcane field in Anchanh village, Nokor Thom commune, Siem Reap city, Siem Reap province.

The owner of the field is 42-year-old Cheit Sopheak who lives in Tnot Village, Kandek Commune, Prasat Bakong District, Siem Reap Province.

The Siem Reap Provincial Police deployed two fire trucks from the Provincial Police Commission and another two fire trucks from the APSARA Authority to put out the fire.
