Top Jewelry Maker to Establish Factory in Cambodia in 2024

PHNOM PENH: The Secretary-General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, Sok Chenda Sophea, met with a delegation from a well-known jewelry company that is planning to establish a factory in Cambodia soon.

According to the CDC, the company has decided to set up a factory in Cambodia because the country's rich culture and civilization is harmonized with the products the company plans to produce in the Kingdom.

The company (which is reserving the right to remain anonymous at the moment) has been studying Cambodia since the begging of 2019 to make sure the country has the resources it needs to be able to establish a jewelry factory at the desired capacity. Final agreements and studies have been agreed upon, and the factory is scheduled to open in January 2024.
