PM Says No Rival Can Defeat CPP

KRATIE: The Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen, has warned any group that wants to change the government of Hun Sen, "you are not yet a partner" of Hun Sen or the CPP.

Speaking in front of thousands of people at the groundbreaking ceremony for the bridge across the Mekong River in Kratie province on the morning of January 2, 2023, Hun Sen thanked the people who voted for the CPP in Commune / Sangkat council elections in June 2022 and ask the people to continue to support the CPP in the upcoming 2023 national elections.

"Peace and development are our achievements, especially in maintaining peace and political capacity. The only people who can do that are those who have been with the people for 44 years," he said.

Prime Minister reprimanded the opposition that they were not worthy of his competitors and told them to wait longer and even wait for the next life probably.

Hun Sen in a few days will be the Prime Minister of Cambodia for 38 years, one of the longest-serving leaders in the world. Being able to hold his position for a long time is due to being a loyal and true follower of the monarchy.

Hun Sen has been the Prime Minister of Cambodia since January 14, 1985, after serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs for six years (1979-1985) and as Acting Prime Minister for about three months while Chan Si travelled to the Soviet Union for medical treatment.
