PM Hopes Cambodia Will Be Able to Import more Goods to Chinese Market

KAMPOT: Prime Minister Hun Sen expects that Cambodia will be able to export more goods to the Chinese market through the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kampot-Kep road on Friday morning, 30 December, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that in 2022, the trade volume between Cambodia and China will be about 14.5 billion dollars, with 19 births. The Prime Minister hopes that in the future, Cambodia will be able to export more goods to China through preferential tariffs up to 97.53%.

"Through all of this, we should be reminded of the ties that have been built since the time of the previous generation," he added.

The Prime Minister stated that China always provides Cambodia what is needed.

It should be noted that the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement entered into force on 1 January 2022.
