KANDAL: Citizens have asked the local authorities to strengthen security on the Neak Loeung Bridge after two recent suicide cases within the span of one week.
On 24 December 2022, a 30-year-old man drove his motorcycle to the bridge and jumped into the water, leaving his vehicle and mobile phone behind. The victim's family state they believe the man ended his life because he had an argument with his wife. The man's body was found on 26 December 2022.
Another case occurred on 27 December 2022. Another man in his 30s jumped off the bridge, leaving a pair of white flip-flops behind.
