Police Officer Killed During Drug Crackdown in Dangkor District

PHNOM PENH: A police officer was killed during a crossfire of gunshots on Wednesday evening, 28 December 2022, while the Anti-Drug Department was conducting a crackdown operation in Dangkor District, Phnom Penh.

Dangkor District Police Inspectorate, Colonel Chim Sitha, confirmed to EAC News that a police officer was shot dead by a drug dealer on Wednesday evening.

Dangkor District Police officers were cooperating with the Anti-Drug Department to intercept a car and detain three suspects in connection to drug crimes, according to the Dangkor District Police Inspectorate.
