A Police Was Suspended 3 Months for Bragging About Badge Used for Entering the General Commissariat of National Police

Phnom Penh: Teuk Thla Administrative Police Officer Lieutenant Colonel Mech Meas was summoned by the Phnom Penh Police Chief for questioning after posting on the social network Tik Tok about buying and selling badges used for entering the General Commissariat of National Police. After questioning, the official answered that he "posted just to brag."

According to the post on December 26, 2022, the Phnom Penh Police said that Lieutenant Colonel Mech Meas admitted that he actually posted the above content but did not intend to sell any badges and was only bragging to friends.

Afterward, the authority of Sen Sok District Police Inspectorate imposed administrative discipline by deciding to issue a warning letter suspending him from his post for 3 months and requiring him to be present at the administrative office of Sen Sok District Police Inspectorate every day.
