Strong Winds Damage More Than 1,800 Roofs in Prey Nob District

Sihanoukville: Strong winds destroyed 27 houses, another 1878 houses lose their roof and injuring two people.

Mr. E. Thearin, Governor of Prey Nup District, confirmed that the high wind occurred on December 18, 2022, at midnight, coming from the foot of Kamchay Mountain, destroying 1878 houses and injuring two people.

The governor of the Prey Nup district claimed that as soon as the incident occurred, the authorities stepped in to assist the victims and alert the people to be more vigilant of the dangers of natural disasters.

Preah Sihanouk Provincial Governor Kouch Chamroeun called on the relevant authorities to monitor and spread weather information to fishermen, citizens, and tourists traveling by boat to be more vigilant against possible high winds and waves from the 17th to 19th December.
