Elderly Woman Fainted in the Bathroom and was Thought to be Dead; Regained Consciousness

Phnom Penh: An old woman fainted in the bathroom of a rented house in Por Senchey district; the landlord thought she was dead and reported to the authorities, but the old woman regained consciousness and shocked people.

This shocking incident happened at 1 p.m. on December 15, 2022, in group 3, Prey Chisak Village, Sangkat Choam Chao III, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.

The elderly woman has not been seen leaving her house for two weeks by her neighbors.

The foul smell from the old woman's room, altered the owner to unlocked the door. He found the woman motionless on the bathroom floor.

Two of her dogs had died and the two other dogs were still alive.

Assuming that the old woman was dead, the owner reported it to the authorities. When the police arrived to make a report and prepare for the autopsy, the old woman was found to be still breathing, so she was sent to Preah Kosomak Hospital for treatment.

According to sources, the 70-year-old woman, who has no relatives, was allowed to stay for free by a kind landlord and also allowed to raise her four dogs.

According to authorities, the old woman was able to survive because she drank enough water. The two dogs died of starvation , as for the other two dogs, they were just alive but not in good condition.
