Cambodia and the US Pledge to Work Together Against Drug Crimes

Phnom Penh: Cambodia and the United States are committed to jointly cracking down on drug crimes and apprehending drug traffickers for prosecution.

Two officers of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) stationed in Cambodia, Kenny Lee and Chao Sabath, expressed their commitment to cracking down on drug crimes in Cambodia during a meeting with the director of the Anti-Drug Department, General Major Khueng Sarath, on December 13, 2022.

Mr. Kenny Lee praised the new Director General of the Cambodian Anti-Drug Department and the officers working on Anti-Drug crimes for their cooperation and expertise.

US DEA Officer Kenny Lee strongly hopes that this partnership will last permanently in order to apprehend drug criminals and prosecute them.

The two countries are strengthening their cooperation on the suppression of drug crimes as the Cambodian authorities investigate the mastermind of approximately 900 kg of drug trafficking in Sihanoukville.
