Between December 14 and 20, Temperatures in Some Provinces Could Fall to 16 °C.

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology forecasts that temperatures in some provinces will drop 18 to 16 °C between December 14 and December 20, 2022.

The cold weather is due to Cambodia being affected by moderate to strong pressure from (China) and the northeast monsoon.

In the coming week, the central lowlands will drop to minimum temperature of 18–22 °C and a maximum temperature of 29–31 °C. 

In Banteay Meanchey, Pailin, Siem Reap, and Battambang provinces, the temperature may drop to around 16–19 °C.

In the highland area, the minimum temperature will be 16–19 °C and the maximum temperature will be 28–30 °C. In Mondulkiri, Ratanakkiri, Preah Vihear, and Oddar Meanchey provinces, the temperature may drop to 16–18 °C.

In the coastal areas, the minimum temperature will be 19–21 °C, the maximum temperature will be 29–31°C.

There may be slight to moderate waves.

The Ministry of Water Resources has called on military personnel stationed in the Dangrek Mountains and the northeastern plateau, as well as fishermen, to exercise caution and care for their health during this cold weather.
