Malaysian Embassy Attend the 9th Sea Festival to Support Tourism Malaysia

A delegation from the Embassy of Malaysia in Phnom Penh was led by the Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia, HE Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim to hold a working visit to Sihanoukville Province on 9 – 11 December 2022.

Ambassador to Cambodia, HE Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim hosted a dinner with Malaysians in Sihanoukville Region. More than 100 Malaysians attended the event. The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to get to know Malaysians living in Sihanoukville better during the dinner. He reminded Malaysians who work and reside in the region to register with the Embassy. He also emphasized that the Malaysian Embassy is always ready to provide consular and immigration assistance for Malaysians in Cambodia.

The Embassy’s delegation also had the opportunity to attend the 9th Sea Festival 10 December 2022 to give support to Tourism Malaysia, which held a promotion counter to attract tourists to Malaysia also highlight tourism products, arts and culture of Malaysian heritage.

During the event, all the delegations of the Embassy were wearing tengkolok to rekindle the spirit of love for Malaysia in Cambodia. This is one of the efforts in promoting Malaysian cultural diplomacy.

There were also traditional Malaysian dances from the Melaka State Culture and Arts Group (JKKN Melaka), which was specially flown in to introduce the international community, especially Cambodians, to the uniqueness of Malaysian traditional dance traditions and arts.

This working visit is one of the Embassy's efforts to intensify the promotion of Malaysian culture and improve bilateral relations between Malaysia and Cambodia in the field of arts and tourism.
