Shooting at Midnight in Battambang Leaves One Dead and Two Others Injured

BATTAMBANG: A dispute occured between two gangs of youths in Battambang city in the early hours of Thursday, 8 December, where one side fired more than ten gunshots at the other, killing one and injuring two others. The incident happened at around 3 am on Thursday near the Water Festival Stage in Prek Mohatep village, Svay Por commune, Battambang city.

According to witnesses at the scene, the gunmen escaped in a car after firing at the other gang. The three victims were brought to Battambang Provincial Referral Hospital, where one of them died shortly after arrival.

According to the same witness, after the incident occured, local authorities arrived to collect evidence and deploy officers to search for the criminals and punish them accordingly.
