PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Agriculture has announced that it welcomes companies with quality and affordable fertilizers and encourages them to apply with the ministry to receive distribution permits.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, 7 December 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture said that in order to continue implementing and promoting policies that reduce production costs and increase profits for farmers, the Ministry continues to welcome and encourage companies that want to import good quality, affordable fertilizers for distribution in Cambodia to apply at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

"The Ministry will study and evaluate in accordance with the procedures of the Law on Pesticides and Fertilizers Management and will grant permits as quickly as possible after confirming that the requested fertilizers used for manufacture or import are of the proper standard,” the statement read.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries strongly hopes that more companies will support the implementation of the policy to reduce farmers' costs.
