PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports has stated that the second day of the high school Baccalaureate exams went smoothly, with good security and order and no significant irregularities recorded.
According to the Ministry, there were 2,358 candidates, 1,028 of whom were female, recorded absent on the morning of the second day of exams.
During the entire examination process, 26 candidates experienced health problems, including four who tested positive for Covid-19. Additionally, there were 13 other cases of health problems among members of the examination committee.
The Ministry, however, states that after receiving first aid, candidates facing health problems were able to continue taking their exams, and committee members were able to return to work.
The Ministry advises all candidates to take good care of their health, get adequate rest, and eat healthily in order to do well on the exam.
This year, there are 128,135 students, including 68,771 female students, taking the high school exams at 221 exam center (a total of 5,174 rooms). The national high school exams also involve 17,240 members of the Exam Committee, 2,756 assistant teachers and student teachers, 350 senior officials and officials, and 2,700 capital and provincial observers.
