BREAKING NEWS: Cambodian Doctors Confirm That PM Hun Sen Test Negative COVID-19

Phnom Penh: On November 19, 2022, the results of the COVID-19 test conducted by Cambodian doctors revealed that Prime Minister Hun Sen tested negative for COVID-19.

According to a statement from PM Hun Sen's medical team, the doctors confirmed that through the daily medical examination, PM Hun Sen's health was great and that there were no signs of COVID-19 symptoms. On November 19, 2022, the PCR and rapid-test results for COVID-19 were both negative.

On Saturday, November 19, Prime Minister Hun Sen announced on social media that "thus far, the results of my COVID-19 test are negative. My doctors have issued a statement as attached."

Dr. Hun Chamroeun stated: "In accordance with the standard procedures for the management, care, and treatment of COVID-19 at home and the full vaccination of PM Hun Sen, I, as a representative of doctors taking care of PM Hun Sen's health, would like to announce the completion of the treatment of the new COVID-19 variant omicron for PM Hun Sen, without having to continue quarantine, which is effective from November 19, 2022."

Along with the treatment statement for COVID-19, PM Hun Sen posted on social media: "Starting this Sunday and throughout the week, my schedule is full, but it will not be exhausting. Thank you, fellow citizen, for caring and wishing me well."

It should be noted that PM Hun Sen tested positive for COVID-19 on the morning of November 15, 2022. As a result, Prime Minister Hun Sen decided not to attend the G20 Summit and returned to Cambodia the following day.
