PHNOM PENH: The new Kuwaiti Ambassador to Cambodia, Mohammad Al-Hajri, has said that during his diplomatic mission to Cambodia, he will work to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
On Friday morning, 4 November, Ambassador Mohammad Al-Hajri had a meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen where he said he will do everything in his power to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Kuwait.
He said he would push for the implementation of previous agreements between the two countries, such as an agreement to establish direct flights, an agreement on the employment of Cambodians in Kuwait, an agreement on food trade, and more.
The Kuwaiti Ambassador also thanked Prime Minister Hun Sen for taking the time to meet him and wished success in chairing the upcoming ASEAN Summit.
In response, Prime Minister Hun Sen welcomed and congratulated Mohammad Al-Hajri on his appointment as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cambodia, and his commitment to deepening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The Prime Minister also recommended that the Kuwaiti Ambassador look into other areas where the two countries could further cooperate, as Kuwait has energy and Cambodia has food. He assured that the two countries will boost trade to complement one another.
