Hun Manet Urges Businesses to Continue Trusting the Royal Government of Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, has requested all entrepreneurs to continue trusting the Royal Government of Cambodia, as the government will continue its efforts to strengthen human resource development, especially in general knowledge, professional techniques, and overseas marketing.

Speaking at the Cambodian Business Owners Meeting CEO Award 2022 event at the Sokha Hotel, Phnom Penh, on Saturday, 29 October, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet stated that business enterprises are the main cell of the private sector and the private sector is the main cell of the national economy. The key to promoting the national economy is to reduce people's poverty and equitable development, which can ensure the stability of society.

"Micro-enterprises, small and medium enterprises are the main basis and a top priority for strengthening current and future growth," he said. "Therefore, promoting micro-enterprises, small and medium enterprises, is a priority goal to create jobs and reduce poverty, which the Royal Government has been doing and continues to promote.”

On the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the establishment of the CEO Master Club, the Lt. Gen. also expressed his appreciation for the many contributing activities of the CEO Master Club as an entrepreneurial training institution. He highlighted how the CEO Master Club has a vision and mission with practical values to build and strengthen the capacity of local business leaders to become professional directors with the knowledge and skills to lead and manage business organizations from small to large, family to international, and ensure that business progress is better, stronger and faster going forward.

Lt. Gen. Hun Manet stated that this contributes to helping grow the Cambodian economy by strengthening the competitiveness of Cambodian companies on the international stage.
