England now Euro 2020 Favourites

INTERNATIONAL: England have become the favourites to reach the Euro 2020 final after beating Germany 2-0 at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night. Goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane saw the Three Lions into the quarterfinals, which will be played on Friday and Saturday (European time).

A match-up always highly anticipated, and usually won by Germany, has seen England win in the knockout stages of the European Championships for only the second time. England has yet to be beaten at Euro 2020 and will play Ukraine in the quarterfinal on Saturday in Rome. Switzerland and Spain will face off on Friday at Saint Petersburg Stadium in Russia. Belgium and Italy will follow suit later on Friday and Saturday’s schedule will see the Czech Republic take on Denmark.

Only 4 teams will survive this weekend, taking them a step closer to the final at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday 11 July.
