PM Could Not Sleep Soundly Due to the Woman He Did Not Help

Banteay Meanchey: Prime Minister Hun Sen said that he felt unsettled after forgetting to help a woman with health problems who he had a conversation with in Siem Reap province yesterday on 22 October 2022. 

Speaking at a meeting with more than 5,000 flood victims in Banteay Meanchey province this morning, 23 October 2022, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that on the night of the 22nd, he was unable to sleep soundly and ordered in the middle of the night for his assistant Seng Teang to find the woman to provide assistance. The Prime Minister expressed his sympathy for the woman, who had many ailments and was struggling to make ends meet, and praised the woman's husband as a role model for taking care of her and the household chores.

The Prime Minister's aide, Seng Teang, confirmed to the Prime Minister this morning that he had found the woman and had given her $1,000.
