Hun Manet: Big Success Comes from the Combination of Many Small Successes

KAMPONG CHAM: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, has reminded all graduating students that great success can be achieved with many small successes.

Speaking at the Graduation Ceremony for the Undergraduate, Bachelors, and Associate Degree Students at the University of Management and Economics (UME) in Kampong Cham on Wednesday, 28 September, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet stated that the success of university students comes from the many successful steps they have taken since their first day of school. He added that there should be no rush to succeed quickly because great success might take some time to study and practice.

He also said that students must not forget to set clear goals in their work activities and must keep looking forward to future results.

"Receiving this degree means that all the winning students have completed another step in their lives, and learnt important lessons for the next steps in both work and life," he said.

Lt. Gen. Hun Manet also stated that the Royal Government has given priority to education and training of human resources, identifying it as key for the development of the country. This prioritization includes factors such as sustainable growth, market competitiveness, globalization, the rapid reduction of economic gaps between other countries and national independence.

He said that to achieve these tasks, it is necessary to promote the qualifications of Cambodian human resources in terms of general knowledge, professional skills, external fitness and internal intelligence, including common virtues and morals.
