27 People Died in Traffic Accidents During Pchum Ben

PHNOM PENH: During the three-day Pchum Ben holiday in 2022, there were a total of 34 cases of traffic accidents across the country, including violations of speed limits and intolerant driving. From these cases, there were a total of 27 deaths, which is an increase of more than half compared to 2021.

According to a report from the General Commissioner of the National Police, between 24-26 September, during the Pchum Ben festival, a total of 34 traffic accidents occurred across Cambodia, resulting in both deaths and injuries. A total of 84 people were injured in these accidents, including 34 serious injuries, 23 light injuries and 27 deaths.

During the Pchum Ben festival in 2021, there were a total of 35 traffic accidents, resulting in 14 deaths and 64 minor injuries.
