Update: Two Found Out of the 23 Missing Chinese Nationals on Sunken Boat in Sihanoukville

SIHANOUKVILLE: At 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 23 September, a Chinese man who was a passenger on the boat that sank in Sihanoukville was rescued at sea, while another woman's body was also found floating in the water.

The discovery of two people was reported by a fishermen in Koh Rong town. The one survivor was handed over to the Koh Rong City Police Inspectorate, while the body of the deceased was taken to the Marine Crime Suppression Unit Headquarters to be handed over to the Sihanoukville Provincial Referral Hospital for autopsy.

As of today, 20 out of the 41 passengers of the boat that sunk between Poy Sa Roeung and Koh Tang in Preah Sihanouk Province (standard point 10.25N 103.16E) have been found, with one found deceased. Twenty-one people are still missing, and authorities are continuing their search efforts.
