Trucks Will Be Banned From Entering Siem Reap on Some Roads Due to Flooding

SIEM REAP: The Siem Reap Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport has announced the closure of some roads in Siem Reap Province to prevent heavy trucks from passing through due to the floods.

In the announcement dated Thursday, 22 September, the Department of Public Works decided to temporarily suspend traffic of heavy trucks on National Road No. 64 (Dam Dek-Preah Vihear), National Road No. 67 (Siem Reap-Anlong Veng), National Road. No. 68 (Kralanh-Oddar Meanchey), Provincial Road No. 265E (Rolous-Kampong Phluk), Provincial Road No. 266C (Svay Thom-Banteay Srei), Provincial Road No. 266F (Puok-Angkor Chum), Provincial Road No. 2673 (Angkor Chum - Varin), Provincial Road No. 2676 (Toul Krous - Ta Siem), Provincial Road No. 2645 (Svay Leu - Sre Noi), Provincial Road No. 62-3 (Beng Mealea - Khvav) from the date of the announcement until later notice.

The Department of Public Works stated, "Due to the flood situation, a lot of roads in Siem Reap province are flooded, making it so that the roads and bridges cannot support the weight of the heavy trucks."
