PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen, the Chairman of ASEAN 2022, has said that the strengthening of ASEAN cooperation and good partnership through mutual assistance will make the region more prosperous.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the ASEAN Leadership and Partnership Forum 2022 under the theme "Partnerships for a Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN" on Monday morning, 12 September, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that by strengthening cooperation and partnerships through the sharing of vaccines and the provision of financial assistance and technical knowledge in the spirit of mutual understanding and assistance, the Covid-19 pandemic in Cambodia has been reduced and brought to a manageable level.

"Similarly, within the framework of the ASEAN region, leadership and partnership are the key factors that enable us to overcome all obstacles and turn the ASEAN region into a prominent and prosperous region," he said.
