More Cambodian Officers Successfully Graduate from Russian Military Academy

Phnom Penh: Seven young Cambodians have graduated from Russia’s Air Defence Academy in Smolensk. They now hold a Specialist Degree in Engineering. Smolensk’s Air Defense Academy falls under the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The seven Cambodian officers are:

 1. Lieutenant Sovath David

 2. Lieutenant Chan Piseth

 3. Lieutenant Brok Thou Chowan

 4. Lieutenant Ouk Sovannara

 5. Lieutenant Luy Wavy

 6. Lieutenant Oung Thieng

 7. Lieutenant General MD

“Specialist Degrees” issued by Russian educational institutions are equivalent to a Cambodian Master’s Degree.
