The 10th Amendment to the Constitution is Signed into Law by the King

PHNOM PENH: His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni signed the 10th Constitutional Amendment into law on Saturday, 6 August 2022.

The Draft Constitutional Amendment was unanimously approved by the National Assembly of Cambodia, receiving a majority of more than two-thirds votes in the ninth session of the fourth legislature on 5 August 2022.

Speaking at the National Assembly in defense of the Constitutional Amendment on 28 July, Justice Minister Keout Rith said that this amendment protects the principles of liberal multi-party democracy and guarantees that the spirit of the 1993 Constitution is further enhanced.
