Phnom Penh: The Army has announced its support for the 10th amendment to the Constitution. The Army considers that this amendment is not different from the previous ones, it's based on the fundamental principles enshrined in the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia 1993 as a function of liberal democracy, pluralism and monarchy.

"And in order to fill the gaps in the constitution and to ensure the protection of national interests, especially to make the main institutions of the state run smoothly, not stuck and guaranteed in all circumstances."

The National Assembly of Cambodia fully approved the 10th Amendment of the Cambodian Constitution after opening the 7th Plenary Session of the 6th Legislature on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

All 105 of the 106 lawmakers from the CPP voted unanimously to approve the passage of the 10th Constitution.

Now the law is passed, the National Assembly will send it to the Senate for further approval before sending to the King for official signature.
