Among declining stocks, Facebook and Instagram parent Meta Platforms Inc (META.O) fell 5.2% after it posted its first-ever quarterly drop in revenue.

Bitcoin (BTC) was trading higher on Thursday, as prices rose following the latest interest rate hike from the Federal Reserve.

The move by the bank to boost the federal funds rate by 0.75% pushed bitcoin to an intraday high of $23,358.34 earlier in today’s session.

Spot gold rose 1.2% to $1,755.65 per ounce, extending its gains from the previous session. Three-month gold futures were up 1.8% to $1,749.60 per ounce
