Ministry of Tourism Introduces Logo of 55th Anniversary of Cambodia-Vietnam Relations

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Tourism has released the official logo made to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Cambodia-Vietnam relations and called on relevant public-private associations at home and abroad, both national and international media, as well as members of the public, to participate in using this logo widely.

The logo for the 55th anniversary of Cambodia-Vietnam relations depicts a lotus flower with the flags of Cambodia and Vietnam in the inner layer next to each other.

The Ministry of Tourism confirmed in a press release that the symbol was chosen by the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism and the Vietnam National Tourism Administration to celebrate the anniversary of its diplomatic relations.

The decision was made as a result of a meeting between Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Prime Minister of Vietnam in Washington, D.C., on the Roadmap for Recovery of Cambodia Tourism during and post Covid-19, the Vaccinated Tourism Strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Promoting "Cambodia: A Destination of Sports Tourism" through the 2023 SEA Games, ASEAN Para Games and Asian Youth Games 2029 (which Cambodia will host).

Cambodia and Vietnam established diplomatic relations on 24 June 1967 to support solidarity against foreign aggression.

Addressing the 25th Anniversary of the Day of Remembrance of the Journey to Overthrow the Pol Pot Genocidal Regime at the Techo Thmor X16 Military Historic Site in Koh Thmor Village, Tonlong Commune, Memot District, Tbong Khmum Province, Vietnamese Prime Minister, Pham Minh Chinh, stated that despite many obstacles, Cambodia-Vietnam relations are still strong and solidarity between the two countries has grown even more, especially during and after the Covid-19 crisis.

He said he considers Cambodia as a good brother to Vietnam, and the two countries have helped each other escape foreign aggression and overthrow the genocidal regime in Cambodia.
