PM Hun Sen Gives Donation to Family with Newborn Triplets

PAILIN: Prime Minister Hun Sen and his wife gave a generous gift to a family who gave birth to triplets in Pailin province this Friday morning, 24 June.

The Prime Minister's assistant, Seng Teang, brought the donation directly to the family of the newborn triplets, who were born on 9 June 2022 at Kantha Bopha Hospital in Siem Reap Province. The father, 23-year-old Thlok Rin, and mother, 23-year-old Seng Ten, are both farmers and first-time parents.

The donation made by the Prime Minister includes 5 million riel in cash, 50 kilograms of rice, two large boxes of milk, five kilograms of sugar, two sarongs, and two scarves.

The Prime Minister's assistant said that from 1999 to the present day, over the last 23 years, 387 families gave birth to triplets or quadruplets and received generous donations from the Prime Minister and the First Lady to help support their daily hardships, especially in raising triplets to be the grandchildren of both the Prime Minister and the First Lady.

He added that these donations are not gifts from the Royal Government, the Cambodian Red Cross, or the CPP, as they are not politically motivated. Instead, these donations are sincere gifts made from the Prime Minister and First Lady's hearts, who understand the real difficulties faced by those who have given birth to triplets or quadruplets.
