BREAKING NEWS: Phnom Penh Capital Administration Allows Opening All business-sales resume within the framework of all state markets

Phnom Penh: On the night of June 14, 2021, the Phnom Penh Capital Administration decided to allow all businesses to resume normal sales within the framework of all state markets in Phnom Penh from June 15, 2021 onwards.

In this decision, the Governor of Phnom Penh, Mr. Khuong Sreng, instructed all businesses that are allowed to reopen to implement strict health safety measures, including the duty to wear a mask, the duty to maintain safety gaps, sanitation to  Disinfection, temperature measurement, QR Code scanning and must follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health, in particular, must always adhere to the measures "3 protection and 3 do not" of Prime minister Hun Sen.

Mr. Khuong Sreng instructed the Governor of Phsar Thom Thmei Authority to manage the market, state security, staff, workers, traders, customers and anyone present in the market area to implement administrative measures, health measures and guidelines.

The Governor of Phnom Penh has assigned the task of the 14 districts Administration and the Department of Commerce of Phnom Penh to cooperate in inspecting each market to ensure the correct implementation of the content of this decision.  In the event that it is found that the Governor of the Central Market and the Central Market Management Committee or any other person refuses to cooperate or does not comply with the content of this decision, he shall take administrative and legal action without exception.
