In 3 Days, the 5th Dose Vaccination Campaign for Priority Groups Will Start

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Health has issued a press release regarding the 5th dose Covid-19 vaccination campaign to frontline workers, officials and other priority groups, which will begin on 9 June 2022.

The Ministry of Health has stated that in accordance with Prime Minister Hun Sen’s remarks, the Ministry will provide the fifth dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to the leaders of the Royal Government, Senate and National Assembly, frontline doctors (both public and private), government officials, members of the army, national police, and other local authorities, elderly citizens over the age of 60, Embassy staff, national and international organizations, journalists, members of the Cambodian Artistic Association, people with weakened immune systems, and people over the age of 12 who have already received the fourth dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, with consideration of the required three month gap between doses.

Leaders of the Royal Government, Senate, and National Assembly, as well as civil servants and contracted officials working at the national level, and who have already been vaccinated with the fourth dose and have had three months pass since receiving their last vaccine, can go and get their fifth from 9 June onwards at national hospitals.

UN officials, staff of embassies, consulates, international financial institutions, national and international organizations and other partners, staff of the Chamber of Commerce, Okhnas (tycoons) and other partners who have already been vaccinated against Covid-19 four times and with the required 3 month gap between doses, can go and get their fifth dose at Calmette Hospital from 1-9 July.

For journalists and members of the Cambodian Artistic Association who have already received their fourth dose and meet the three-month gap requirement, can go and get their fifth dose from Preah Ang Duong Hospital between 1-8 July.

National police officers from the head of the department and contract officers of the Ministry of Interior will be responsible for the organization of the 5th dose Covid-19 vaccination campaign, along with the medical team of the “16 May Hospital” of the Ministry of Interior, from 9-23 June.

Documents required when going to get vaccinated include a Covid-19 vaccination card, civil servant ID card or contracted official ID, Cambodian identity card, or other documents used to register for the first dose of the vaccine.

The Ministry of Health calls on priority groups who have received the 4th dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and who meet the requirement of the three month gap between vaccines, to go and get their 5th dose in order to increase immunity against the spread of Covid-19, and to especially maintain the normal function of living, including economic and social activities.
