There are 11,736 registered voters on the National Election Committee's (NEC) list, and a total of 33 polling stations.

Cambodia has two types of elections: general elections and non-general elections. A non-universal election is an election that is free, fair and just by secret ballot. Non-universal elections include: the election of senators and the election of the Capital Council, Provincial Council, Municipal Council, Commune Council and District Council.

The general election includes the National Assembly election and the Commune / District Council election, and for the 2022 election, this is the general election for the 5th Mandate Commune / District Council election, which is one of the most important elections. It is very important for the implementation of liberal, multi-party democracy through decentralization and good governance that each Commune / District has its own Commune / District Council to govern local affairs within its territory, according to the Constitution, laws and regulations in force. The Commune / District Council Election is an expression of the will of the people in the communes and districts to elect their representatives. The mission is to serve the general interests within the jurisdiction of each commune and district, with this election being held every five years.
