PM Departs from Switzerland to Return to Cambodia

SWITZERLAND: Prime Minister Hun Sen has led a high-level Cambodian delegation, departing from Zurich, Switzerland, back to Cambodia, after attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) and in Davos, Switzerland from 21-25 May 2022.

The Royal Government special plane took off from Switzerland at around 2 pm, Cambodia time, on Wednesday, 25 May.

According to the Prime Minister, after leaving Zurich, Switzerland, the special plane will have layovers in Tehran, Iran, and New Delhi, India before arriving in Cambodia at around 6 am on Thursday, 26 May.

"Because there is a five hour time difference, I will leave Zurich at about 9 am, which is about 2 pm Cambodian time," he said.

Before departing from Switzerland, the Prime Minister also sent a special voice message to Cambodians living in Europe who came to welcome him last Saturday. The Prime Minister expressed his happiness and pride for the support of the people in this area who support the CPP and the Royal Government of Cambodia. He added that he hopes to meet Cambodians living in Europe once again in December 2022 in Brussels, Belgium, during the occasion of the 45th Anniversary of EU-ASEAN relations.
