Minister of Justice: All Tribunals Must Pay Attention to Strengthening the Work Discipline and Ethics of Officials

MONDULKIRI: The Minister of Justice, Keut Rith, has instructed all tribunals to pay close attention to strengthening the work discipline and ethics of officials in the field of justice to ensure the implementation of disciplinary measures in accordance with the law and regulations for non-disciplinary officers and also provide a basis for providing incentives for disciplined officials who implement their roles and responsibilities well.

Speaking at the official announcement of the transfer and taking office of Than Leng, the new President of Mondulkiri Provincial Court, replacing the previous president, Teang Sotha, who was appointed as Judge of the Court of Appeal in Battambang, the Minister of Justice instructed the Tribunal at all levels to pay attention to strengthening its human resources, and said that all officials in the field of justice must also pay attention to regular capacity building in order to develop oneself to be able to respond to the rapid development of the legal and judicial fields.

He added that all judges and prosecutors must continue to apply the law properly and avoid the four injustices or bias, such as prejudice because of love, hatred, irresponsibility and fear of power or more, to ensure true justice to the people. He added that they must all strive to strengthen the quality of writing judgments in accordance with the rules, especially to improve the quality of their decisions correctly and fairly in accordance with the laws and procedures in force.
