PM Urges Direct Flights from India to Cambodia

Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen requested India to flights directly from India to Cambodia, because Cambodia now allow foreigners flights to the country, easy and convenient conditions for tourists.

In a video conference on Wednesday afternoon May 18, Prime Minister Hun Sen told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi about direct flights from India to Phnom Penh and from India to Siem Reap will be boosted tourism for both countries. “tourists who have been vaccinated will not be tested for Covid-19 either PCR or RAPID TEST” PM Hun Sen added.

In March 2022, during a meeting with the Governor of Sihanoukville, Indian Ambassador to Cambodia Devyani Uttam Khobragade show the intention to have direct flights from India to Cambodia, especially to Sihanoukville, to promote tourism and more investors, as there are plans to establish a “Sister City” between Sihanoukville and Maharashtra in Mumbai, India, and cooperation in areas such as logistics and shipping medical and Health Care IT Education and so on.
