Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the RCAF Meets with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, met with Anatoly Borovik, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cambodia, at the headquarters of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, on Tuesday, 17 May.

During the meeting, the Russian Ambassador praised the Royal Government of Cambodia for successfully controlling the spread of Covid-19, which has allowed Cambodia to reopen the country and begin its socioeconomic recovery process in all sectors. He highlighted the past good relations between the Cambodian and Russian armies, and also expressed his willingness to continue strengthening the army cooperation.

In response, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet expressed his appreciation for the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries, as well as his appreciation for the cooperation between the Cambodian and Russian armies, especially in the many joint activities that have been conducted, such as the exchange of visits and training of human resources.
