Phnom Penh: The ASEAN-US Summit 2022, the first meeting between ASEAN and US leaders since 2017, will start at 11:30 a.m. in Washington, DC, around 10:30 p.m. May 12, 2022 in Phnom Penh.

According to the schedule of the first day of the meeting, ASEAN leaders will be welcomed by US Speaker Pelosi, and hosts a bipartisan working lunch with the ASEAN leaders and other Members of Congress. ASEAN leaders meet with American business leaders to discuss economic cooperation over light refreshments, with Secretary Raimondo and Ambassador Tai.

In the afternoon, US President Joe Biden will meet with ASEAN leaders at the White House and take a commemorative family photo before having dinner together.

On the second day of the meeting, US Vice President Harris Kamala hosts the ASEAN leaders for a working lunch, focused on maritime cooperation and health/pandemic recovery before hosts a discussion with the ASEAN leaders and Secretary Kerry, Secretary Buttigieg, Secretary Granholm, and Administrator Regan regarding climate action, clean energy transformation, and sustainable infrastructure.

At the end of the afternoon, the US Presidents and ASEAN Leaders will exchange views on regional and global issues.

The meeting will end at 5:30 pm on May 13, 2022.
